Excellent Kodak 35 Rangefinder Front | Vintage Camera
This was one of my grandfather's cameras. In th 1940s it retailed for around $40--that would be about $450 today. I had the damndest time finding the shutter release, but it appears to still be in mechanically working order, although it needs disassembly and cleaning (and possibly a new lens) before it could be practical again. The thumbwheel on the left is for focus, 4ft to infinity (it has a split viewfinder to help focus, too). Everything is on the front of this camera it seems. The aperture and shutter speed are selected by moving their respective levers, and the screw in the 10 o'clock position is the shutter release. There is also a timer, but it does not seem to work.
