North of Bismarck about ten or fifteen miles. The view is to the west, so even though the sun had been down two to three hours by then, it's amazing how much light there still is on the horizon. There were several bands of high cirrus clouds that night, and they were reflecting Bismarck-Mandan lights, I feel, and that provided the general tones for the photo. I shot this in RAW and then used photoshop to adjust white balance, contrast and saturation.
